Course Overview
Summary of Changes to the Course Plan
- The course plan has been rewritten to be directly based on the MYH application, rather than structured around the previous version
- The course purpose has been broadened from a tool- and role-oriented description to reflect a complete professional grading process, including colour management, quality assurance and delivery requirements
- The role of software (DaVinci Resolve) has been adjusted from being central and tool-defining to being one part of a broader professional workflow, in line with the application
- The content has been expanded to fully include:
- SDR and HDR workflows
- ACES-based colour management
- log and RAW workflows
- technical delivery requirements and quality control
These were either missing or only partially described in the previous version
- The course now reflects end-to-end post-production workflows, rather than primarily focusing on grading techniques and software features
- AI has been adjusted from a feature-level mention (automation) to being part of professional workflow optimisation, in line with the application
- The learning outcomes have been aligned with the application and now more clearly include:
- analysis of visual material
- decision-making based on technical and artistic criteria
- justification of grading choices
- workflow and delivery responsibility
- The final project has been strengthened from a general grading task to a complete grading process, including planning, execution, quality assurance and documented decisions
- Entry requirements have been corrected from 12 months to 6 months of professional experience, in accordance with the application
- References to certification (Blackmagic Design) and predefined job roles have been removed as defining elements, since they are not part of the application
