About the Course

This course provides advanced, industry-relevant skills in color correction and color grading for film and video production.

You will develop the ability to work independently with:

  • color management and grading workflows

The course focuses on DaVinci Resolve and covers both technical and creative aspects of grading, including:

  • color theory and color science
  • SDR, HDR, log, RAW and ACES workflows
  • node-based grading structures
  • camera matching and consistency

AI tools are integrated into the workflow to support:

  • workflow efficiency

You will also learn how to meet professional delivery standards and document your technical and creative decisions.

After completing the course, you will be able to plan, execute and quality-assure a full grading process at a professional level.

Course Content

The course covers professional grading workflows from start to delivery:

  • Color theory and color science (gamma, contrast, color spaces, white balance, saturation)
  • Color management for SDR, HDR, log, RAW and ACES workflows
  • DaVinci Resolve color tools and node-based workflows
  • Primary and secondary color correction (masks, power windows, keying, tracking)
  • Use of scopes and reference monitors for quality assurance
  • Creative color grading and visual storytelling
  • LUT development and use of visual references and mood boards
  • AI-assisted grading tools (color matching, noise reduction, workflow optimization)
  • Technical delivery requirements and export standards
  • Industry practices, collaboration and communication in production teams

The course includes hands-on work with professional-grade material and workflows.

It concludes with a final project where you perform color grading on professional footage and present your technical and creative decisions.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, you must have:
