This intensive course gives you a strong foundation in Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on game design. During the course, you'll gain insight into all the powerful tools and features, such as the new Lumen global lighting system and UE5's new Nanite virtualized micro polygon geometry system.

The primary goal of the course is to equip you with all the technical skills necessary to master the fundamentals of computer game development. The final stage of the course will be tailored to your personal vision of creating your own computer game.

During the course, you will learn the basics of all critical UE5 elements while developing your own computer game in third-person view.

You will start building your game project from scratch and be continuously guided in how to create your own story, market your game properly, design game levels with Blueprints and visual scripting, manage and create Materials and more. You will implement sound and music into your game and breathe life into your project by inserting Unreal's objects and characters via Quixels, Megascans and Metahumans.
Upon completion of the Unreal Engine course, students will be able to demonstrate a range of knowledge, skills and competencies that include:

^{Introduction to lighting: exploring how to control lights and edit their properties and learning how to illuminate hero objects using various lighting techniques.}
